Jakarta, July 10, 2019 - Mr. Sudhamek AWS (Chairman of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk) was present as a guest speaker at the Seminar with the topic "Leadership through Listening" organized by the President Development Center (PDC), President University, in collaboration with Jababeka Learning in Hotel Celecton, Cikarang on Wednesday July 10, 2019.
Also present Prof. Dr. Jony Haryanto, Chancellor of President University as the first speaker to convey the importance of listening to market voices in business and a leader must pay attention to the state of his employees.
Next, Mr. Sudhamek AWS explained the material about 'Mindful Leadership' based on his experience at GarudaFood. "One of the leader's main tasks is to make decisions. In order to make good decisions, a leader needs to be a good listener first, not only with ears, but also with a focused or mindful eye, heart and mind," he said.
In front of approximately 100 participants consisting of company executives in the Jababeka industrial area, he said that in an organization, a leader needs to support employees to develop their competencies and careers. Not only competence, the spiritual condition of employees is also an important thing that needs to be considered by a leader. According to him, the competence and spiritual condition of an employee need to be balanced. He argues that if an employee has good competence and spiritual condition, the employee will work well. This is what will make employees work comfortably and stay for a long time and are loyal to their company.
