Jakarta, 17 October 2019 - PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (“GOOD”) strengthened partnership with local cows farmer, both through milk coop and farmer society in West Java and Central Java. One of them is a signing of Memorandum of Understandig (MOU) between Garudafood and Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) Getasan, Boyolali, Central Java, on Thursday (17/10). Attended by Mrs. Felly Linawati as Business Head Rancaekek who signed MOU and Mr. Ir. Bambang Irianto as Vice Head of KUD Getasan-Salatiga Central Java. This was a long period commitment of Garudafood in partnership program. Before this, Garudafood has been partnerin with cows farmers in West Java; such as Bandung, Sumedang and Garut.
The partnership program is not only absorb the supply of fresh milk’s raw materials but Garudafood also provided milk cooling tank as fresh milk storage, technical assistance about a qualified technique of milk storage, supplying raw materials for cows’ feed and also empowerment the farmers. More than that, Garudafood also supporting them to execute Good Dairy Farming Practice (GDFP) through training by inviting the medical expertise of cattle.
Through this partnership, it is hoped that cows farmers in KUD Getasan can develop themselves to improve the productiveness and the quality of cattle’s dairy that impacting to the welfare of cows farmers.
Through this partnership with Garudafood, since August 2015, KUD Getasan can improve the production of fresh milk. Not less than 95%, the fresh milk produced by KUD Getasan sent to Garudafood. As the result, KUD Getasan is a the biggest supplier of fresh milk to Garudafood, for the last 4 years.
