Jakarta, 12 July 2023 - Garudafood collaborated with Prochiz to hold a cooking demonstration for economical and healthy snacks for dozens of women from the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village community at the Garudafood Head Office, Jakarta (12/7). This was the company's effort to build the capacity of ultra-micro entrepreneurs. Garudafood introduced Prochiz products and taught recipes that are easy to duplicate so that they can become starter packs in starting a culinary business.
"The Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village Program is a corporate incubation program that is in line with the company's mission to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The cooking demonstration was Garudafood's effort to create a more empowered society, especially for housewives. We believe that they have potential and play an important role in improving the quality of life for families and creating job opportunities,' said Dian Astriana, Head of Corporate Communications and Relations at Garudafood.
Upon close observation, processed foods containing cheese are becoming increasingly common in Indonesia. Seeing this trend, Garudafood collaborated with Prochiz to organize a 'Prochiz cooking demonstration with the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village Community' program. This is Garudafood's strategy to increase the capacity and ability of community members, especially in cooking and creating processed cheese products. Participants are also expected to be able to hone their entrepreneurial instincts to make creative products that could be sold.
'These simple recipes are easy to follow and have a great chance to be used as cheese-based culinary business ideas. In addition, cheddar has the right taste when combined with various types of food so it is easily accepted and liked by Indonesian people in line with our mission: Promoting cheese and creating a cheese-loving society. We believe that Prochiz products offer 'added value' for the Entrepreneurial Village community,' said Peter Wiradjaja, Director of PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk.
This event was attended by women from the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village community in South Tangerang, Bekasi, Cikarang, and Bogor. The Garudafood Entrepreneurship Village Community is one of Garudafood Sehati's CSR programs under the pillar of community empowerment. To date, a total of 454 housewives have joined and obtained benefits. This program focuses on identifying the community's business potential to promote a more independent, empowered, and productive society.
