Jakarta, 17 December 2021 - For the first time in 2021, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia will hold the Indonesia Halal Industry Awards 2021, which is a direct appreciation from the government to all individuals and national industry players who play an active role in the development of the national halal industry. The Indonesia Halal Industry Awards 2021 is divided into 7 categories, namely Best Halal Innovation, Best Social Impact Initiative, Best Halal Supply Chain, Best Small Enterprise, Best Halal Industrial Estate, Best Export Expansion, and Best Halal Financial Support.
Garudafood won the Indonesia Halal Industry Awards 2021 for the Best Supply Chain category for consistently ensuring that their high-quality raw materials and auxiliary materials came from halal sources. The award was given directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to Johannes Setiadharma, Director of Garudafood at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski on Friday (17/12). Also attending this event was the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Teten Masduki, and the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
The Indonesia Halal Industry Awards 2021 was held by the Ministry of Industry as an appreciation from the government to all individuals and national industry players who play an active role in the development of the national halal industry.
Prior to this, at the end of May 2021, Garudafood had also won the HAS Award (Halal Assurance System) 2021 from LPPOM MUI as a recognition for the implementation of the best Halal Assurance System (HAS) in all of its production processes.
