GarudaFood Sehati Cares About Flood 2007
Heavy rain falling in Jakarta and surrounding areas since Friday (2/2) has caused nearly all areas in the capital city of Jakarta are inundated by water. Jakarta and the surrounding areas are immobilized due to severe flood. Nearly all peoples suffer from loss, without exception to big family of GarudaFood and PT Sinar Niaga Sejahtera (SNS).
Not just sitting around and do nothing, Task Force Unit (Satgas) of GarudaFood Sehati moves to assist any workers affected by this disaster. Using rubber dinghy, they evacuate flood casualties who are still trapped in their respective houses. They further give logistic aid in terms of clothes, food, safe water and medicines. Moreover, this task force unit also provide physical support in assisting them to clean workers' houses which are still covered by mud due to flood.
This concern is not just addressed to workers, but also to peoples living around the office affected by flood. One of them is a resident of IKPN Bintaro. GarudaFood Sehati team gives contribution in terms of food for flood casualties who have not yet received donation from government.
Flood could be suffered by anyone whomsoever. It is our concern to others that should be encouraged to ease their burden. (CCD)
