Wafer Factory Gery in Kidzania
Confused to decide where to spend holidays? Bring your family to KIDZANIA, a unique recreation center specially established identical to replica of a real town. Ranging from building, road, vehicle, factory, all of them are made in real shape and function. The difference is that any materials existing here are made in mini size. It is understandable, Kidzania is indeed specially targeted for children circle.

In this town, children could play adult people's role while learning many professions. For instance, to be a doctor, pilot, construction workers, private investigator, archeologist, F1 racing driver and other 100 kinds of professions and jobs.

KIDZANIA is divided into three main areas, e.g.: Airport, access gate area in which the children will get on airplane to head for KIDZANIA; Center of town which provides many kinds of activities; and suburban area, industrial site fully constructed with many kinds of factories.

Once entering into Kidzania area constructed on a plot of land of approximately 6,000 square meters, we will see entrance locket in the form of airport. Even, there is a replica of airplance as well. After passing ”boarding check” we will then allowed to enter Kidzania city.

Wow! That is the word that could be uttered when being inside the Kidzania. Because, the place really looks like a miniature of a town. There is a road equipped with traffic lights, police station, city hall building, and factories in suburban areas.

One to be also interesting is that biscuit factory of Gery (Wafer Factory Gery) situated in suburban area of Kidzania looks like in real factory, here we can see factory activities with its complexities. Visitor will also get impressive experience to get involved in manufacturing process of biscuit. Wafer Factory Gery is adjacent to other factories such as Milk Factory, Biscuit Factory, as well as Ice Cream

Factory.

In that noon, there are apparently a group of elementary school age children stands in queue orderly to get to the front of Wafer Factory Gery. They seem to be inpatient to see manufacturing process of Gery Saluut they like most. After approximately 5 minutes standing in a queue, they enter the wafer factory Gery. There they are welcomed by trainer who will guide and explain the manufacturing process of Wafer Gery Saluut.

Before starting the manufacturing process of wafer, the children are requested to wear napkin and wash their hand. Because in the production process, hygienic factor can not be excluded. After they wash their hand, they will be provided with glove and masker. The objective is that the wafer will not directly be contaminated by touch.

Further, the trainer will give wafer one by one to each child. This wafer may be filled by chocolate according to their preference. For those who like chocolate, they may smear their wafer with much chocolate. The children are so enthusiastic to directly make the wafer Gery with their own creation that the trainer is unable to cope them.

Thereafter, they put the wafer into a machine for wrapping with chocolate. They are so curious to see the production process that they are willing to wait in the end of machine to see the wafer product they already make.

It takes only a while, the wafer is finished. It is exactly as the original wafer Gery Saluut with tasty flavor.

”All raw materials, wafer or the chocolate, are exactly the same as those we use for production of wafer Gery Saluut” said Marketing Manager Ferry Haryanto.

It is really interesting to see and feel directly the manufacturing process of a food product we consume all these times. The children would know any raw materials in use and manufacturing process thereof. Moreover, the children would know that hygiene is one of important factors in manufacturing food product.

It is great to visit Kidzania. With more than 70 various kinds of offered profession, the children will not only be entertained but also they are requested to think creative and able to imagine their profession in the future.
