GarudaFood Earns HR Excellent Award 2007
GarudaFood earns award in prestigious event of Human Resources (HR) Excellent Award 2007 held by SWA magazine in cooperation with Management Institution of Faculty of Economy of the University of Indonesia and Human Resource Indonesia Foundation. The award is received by Head of Corporate Human Capital (CHC) GarudaFood, Andre Vincent Wenas on Thursday (28/2) in Jakarta.

As a new comer in category of General HR Management, GarudaFood succeeds to attain the fifth rank, leaving behind 300 other companies with total point of 4,58.

”This award will motivate us to keep developing system maximally so as to be able to establish qualified workers, prospective new leaders” said Andre Wenas.

Andre further explains, that team of CHC GarudaFood will focus on the development of leadership skill as motivating force in empowering people. In GarudaFood, human resources development process is an integral part which is very important in the business process in the company. Business attainment target can only be realized if a company possesses Human Capital Readiness. It is the worker who can made the dream (vision) of the company comes true.

HR Excellencent Award is an award for companies that are already excellence in SDM management, so that, it can serve as learning to SDM practitioners in other companies.

Former Human Resources development was only seen as a means to attain the objective of the company, nowadays, it is considered as determining element of superiority of company competitiveness. The workers are no longer considered unimportant, but they are a valuable assets to the company.

There are four valuations which are adopted to identify extent of application of SDM management in a company. Namely how extent it is for the HR Division to be able to become Strategic Partner, Administrative Expert, Employee Champion as well as Agent of Change in a company.

Andre Vincent Wenas said that participation of CHC GarudaFood is a process to find out performance position of CHC GarudaFood thereby being able to improve any existing shortcomings and improve positive things already attained. (CCD)
