Okky Jelly Drink & Kacang Garuda Earns TOP BRAND 2008
Okky Jelly Drink and Kacang Garuda produced by GarudaFood managed to earn Top Brand Award for two consecutive years (2007-2008) for Category of Jelly Drink and Branded Peanut product. This award constitutes acknowledgment from the other parties for its reputation and equity of both brands during the period of eight years.

Top Brand is the highest award for a brand given by Marketing magazine based on national survey finding made by Frontier Consulting Group. This award program held on Thursday (14/2) in Hotel JW Marriott Jakarta.

Brand would serve as one of the most powerful strengths of the company and simultaneously a company assets having priceless value. As an Intangible Asset, existence of brand has frequently exceeded Tangible Asset. This reality has become the challenge to any businessmen, including those dealing with Consumer Goods industry to keep increasing their brand awareness in public’s mind.

In addition to serve as identity, brand can also create high equity to a company, long-term image and loyalty. The strongest brands would be those that are able to maintain their top position for years, namely (1) Top of market share, (2) Top of mind share, and (3) Top of commitment share. Unfortunately, there are many brands that only manage to maintain their top position for one or two year(s), but then they are weakening in the subsequent years.

GarudaFood as one of national food and beverages companies really appreciates and simultaneously realizes a strength of a brand, therefore it keeps trying to build and maintain brands it owns.

“Achievement of Kacang Garuda and Okky Jelly Drink in earning Top Brand for two consecutive times has increased “brand assets” to GarudaFood Group, and simultaneously served as manifestation of people’s trust to our products,” said Budiman, Head of Marketing Division GarudaFood Group.

Budiman is of the opinion that Top Brand awarded to OKKY Jelly Drink and Kacang Garuda constitutes indication of seriousness to build and maintain brand using any efforts and considerable investments in order to be the best in their respective categories.

Further, Budiman said that this award will simultaneously serve as motivation to GarudaFood to keep on creating and innovating and producing high quality products for Indonesian peoples. (CCD)
