Oats, Good For Your Health
For those of you who consider your health, start to change your breakfast with cereal contains of oats. According to the recent studies, the chance of getting heart attack can be reduce by consuming oats routinely.

There are many benefits to eating oats, not least that they are good news for your heart. Oats have an approved Health Claim by the Joint Health Claims Initiative which states that "The inclusion of oats can help reduce cholesterol as part of a diet low in saturated fat and a healthy lifestyle". This is because high cholesterol levels can increase the chances of developing heart disease and oats are a good source of ß-glucans, a soluble fibre that can help to lower cholesterol.

Oats are composed mainly by grains, vitamins, fibers, mineral and antioxidant. Research proven that people who consume oats everyday reduce 28% risk of having heart attack. Meanwhile, those who consume it once a week reduce only 14% from heart attacks risk.

Oats have a low Glycaemic Index which means they are absorbed into the blood stream slowly helping to keep blood sugar levels stable. Many nutrition experts now believe choosing a diet based around carbohydrates with a low GI offers several health benefits.

Oats also contain a rich diversity of phytochemicals which act as antioxidants and complement those in fruits and vegetables when eaten together. The most important groups of phytochemicals found in oats are: phenolics, carotenoids, vitamin E compounds, lignans and inulin.

Oats are low GI foods. They can therefore help to control blood glucose levels by reducing post-meal rises in blood glucose levels and providing a steady release of energy, helping you feel fuller for longer.

There are no preservatives and addicted substance in oats.

According to research studies, 20 years ago, 50% women fulfill their need for calcium, folic acid, and vitamins by consuming oats mainly in cereal products. Oats are good for bone and it can boost energy.
