GarudaFood Supporting National Food Security


President said his hope GarudaFood retaining the partnership with farmers as one attempt to face the food crisis in Indonesia.

At this current the world is facing the threat of global food crisis which is indicated by erratic fluctuations in prices of goods. The food crisis did not happen just because of harsh climates, but also issues related to energy crisis, food utilization for energy, political crises in some countries, economic and monetary crisis of the world, environmental damage, and various other local factors . Long-term strategy was absolutely necessary.

Therefore, as an effort to anticipate and Chamber of Commerce Indonesia’s (KADIN) commitment to the development of national food, on Tuesday (7/2) President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady, opened the series of stabilization programs Jakarta Food Security Summit ‘Feed Indonesia Feed The World’ , which is held by KADIN, 7 to 10 February 2012 at the JCC Senayan, Jakarta.

 As one of the largest food and beverage company in Indonesia, GarudaFood supported KADIN  in dealing with national food security crisis, by participated in the Food Security Summit ‘Feed Indonesia Feed The World’.

 As captured on photo, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, got some explanation of GarudaFood’s product from GarudaFood Group CEO, Sudhamek AWS accompanied by Head of Corporate Communications & Relations GarudaFood Group, Dian Astriana. Besides, Sudhamek AWS also explained about GarudaFood CSR activities, particularly in partnership with peanut farmers. On the same occasion, the President said his hope GarudaFood retaining the partnership with farmers as one attempt to face the food crisis in Indonesia.
